Vape Gear 2022 - Our Vape Hardware (Image)

I'm sure it comes as no surprise that many of our team here at My Vapery are keen vapers. So, it certainly shouldn't come as a surprise that we have our very own gear that we love to use time and time again. From speciality mods to the simplest of pods, we dive into some of our team's vape gear, their favourite pieces, and recommendations for those looking to invest in quality vape hardware.

Bryan - The man, the mod, the legend.

What do you use to vape?

JACK - So my current main set-up is the Odin 200 Mod by Dovpo x Vaping Bogan, with the Valkyrie RTA by Vaperz cloud, running a couple of custom 3.5 ID alien coils in there around 0.18Ohm. I use Cotton Gods wicking cotton, which is the best I've ever tried! Super fluffy and absorbent. I also use Molicel p42A 21700s with Fogstar wraps!

EMMA - I mostly use disposables now, for ease, especially at work - but I do have an Innokin Endura I use at home, and a VooPoo Argus Pro. But recently I've just purchased the Uwell Caliburn G Pod Kit and it's quickly becoming my go-to.

BRYAN - Currently use a GeekVape Aegis Zeus Kit with the Zeus tank that comes with the device, powered by a 21700 battery. I usually stick to the 0.4 coils as I prefer to vape around the 60-70w mark.

Why do you use them?

JACK - I have two loves with vape setups, big, chunky over the top ones that are fully matte black. And smaller mostly see-through mods/tanks. My main setup is covering the first love of mine, at the moment. It has a big & bold mod so lots of battery life with the 21700s, a big boy tank and coils for huge flavour. Basically, it looks dope.

EMMA - The Uwell Caliburn Pod Kit is perfect for nicotine salts. It has a really smooth draw and is lightweight with a long last and rechargeable battery - and they come in an amazing range of metallic colours too. I'm currently using the Doozy/Pod Salt Pink Haze fusion salt with this and it's mind-blowing.

The tank is really easy to fill and the coils are mesh, so for me, the flavours from the liquids really come alive as there's a bigger surface area for the coil to work with. It's honestly my favourite device I've tried so far and in my opinion one of the best for those looking to start.

BRYAN - GeekVape are very well known for making rugged devices and this one is no different. With it being IP67 resistant it's a perfect all-weather device. Combine this with the very minimalistic profile and the ability to use it up to 100w, and you have a great combo.

The quarter-turn on the tank makes it very easy to fill too. The fact you can use a 21700 battery but also use two 18650 batteries if needed, makes it super flexible. Although for the flavour production and performance I strongly recommend using the 21700 batteries.

Is there anything you'd recommend to others?

JACK - By a proper battery charger! So many people that get into vaping buy larger kits that take external batteries and end up charging them using the USB ports. Buying a proper battery charger that will provide a greater life span to your batteries, as well as much safer charging.

EMMA - I would also say the Innokin Endura is perfect for someone who is new to vaping and wants to be able to pop some salts into a tank and go! I'd also definitely recommend vaping Nic Salts as they're my go-to. There's such a great variation in the flavours, strengths, and you can still have plenty of fun making your own mixes with them (Cuban Creme mixed with Fresh Mint, is a brilliant combo).

BRYAN - For anyone looking to start vaping who may be put off spending upwards of £40 on a device, I'd always recommend a Uwell Caliburn G. An improved version of the much-loved Caliburn, Uwell made a few improvements in the sense of adding dual airflow and removable coils to the device. The coils are super easy to replace and the level of flavour production for a 15w device is very impressive. Couple this with the super-size friendly nature of the device and you have a great day-to-day bit of kit.

What is your favourite piece of gear?

JACK - My favourite piece of vape gear hands down I think has to be my Taifun GT4 Tank. It's probably my most used bit of kit ever and my favourite tank of all time. I pair it with the Jelly Box Mini for a super see-through-looking set-up!

EMMA - Other than the devices I mentioned before, my go-to especially at the minute, are disposables. They're just so convenient when the need hits and can taste just as good as one from my proper kits. In particular, I can't recommend enough, the Dripp Mini; the Bloody Bull Strawberry is a definite must-try.

BRYAN - To be honest it's got to be the Zeus mod I'm currently using. I just find the performance, ease of use and overall cost of the device is better than anything I've had previously. It just ticks all the boxes for me!
